Interface pavilion

This is a pavilion for the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2017. Ten “commons” were proposed by Biennale curators Alejandro Zaera and Hyungmin Pai. This pavilion is our proposal for one of them: "Air". 275 acrylic translucent panels 2mm thick were laser-cut. Panels are interlocked, mutually stability each other. The material filters sunlight and reflects the colors of sky and green. Wind passes through the pavilion. Those various natural action create a natural atmosphere in an enclosed space. The pavilion works as interface between outside and inside.

ソウルビエンナーレの10のテーマの一つである"Air"に対して外をより感じることのできる空間を提案した。半透明のアクリル板をレーザーカッターで切り出しはめ込んで組み立てる。その素材は一日を通して変化する太陽の光のグラデーションや、空や緑の反射、通り抜ける風を作り出し私達に外を感じさせてくれる。夜には光のこぼれる優しい空間を作り出す。
